When the leader in gaming, EA SPORTS and leader in basketball, the NBA, wanted to launch the 2011 editions of NBA JAM and NBA ELITE with a branded event experience, they called upon Project 2050 to produce it up proper.
We set out to create a one-of-a-kind, multi-faceted experience for gaming, basketball and art fans in the heart of New York City. Through multiple touch points, guests were entertained, educated and engaged. The focus was to create a rich line-up consisting of unique programming including a live performance by rapper J. Cole, underground DJ sensation 9th Wonder, athlete appearances, local DJs, EA SPORTS producers and artists.
From the event name, original logo, marketing and collateral materials, color standards, venue design, management of the run of show, digital outreach and grassroots promotions, we worked hand in hand with EA SPORTS and the NBA to create it all, "soup to nuts". Pretty much anything and everything Triple Double.
Guests young and old, loyal or new to the brand were entertained throughout the space. The many sights and sounds of EA SPORTS and the NBA resonated with guests and created over thousands of positive brand impressions over the weekend.
